Raw Honey is alive
What does that mean? Real, raw honey is never cooked or pasteurized, keeping all of the bacteria alive — which is what you want. This is also one of the reasons we recommend that you never cook honey. In Ayurveda, they say that cooking honey turns it toxic.
While excavating Egypt’s famous pyramids, archaeologists have found pots of honey in an ancient tomb. The honey, dating back approximately 3,000 years, is still perfectly edible.
