Soup Style Kitcheri

Sometimes you feel like a creamy, pureed soup. You can make Kitcheri like a comforting Lentil soup with a little extra Golden Butter and broth added to the Classic or Basic Kitcheri Recipe. Plus extra carrots and ginger for a boosted carrot ginger soup, too! Yum!

This recipe is great for when you’re feeding people resistant to new things like little kids, fussy partners, and older relatives. Once they love this soup and know it’s Kitcheri, then you’ll be able to introduce Kitcheri to them in other forms.


Soup Style Kitcheri



  • 1 tablespoon Kitcheri Blend with Benefits
  • 2 tablespoon Golden Butter
  • ½ cup Kitcheri Bowl mix
  • 2 cups water or stock


  1. In a heavy saucepan cook Kitcheri mix, Golden Butter, Kitcheri Blends with Benefits, and water/stock, until thoroughly soft. Follow Classic Kitcheri instructions.
  2. Use an immersion blender and purée in the pot or use a blender and blend in small amounts when cooled a little.
  3. Blend well and serve with some freshly chopped cilantro or parsley.
  4. Enjoy the cozy comfort!
